Serious answer : A way to make cold fusion work, or hell plane old vanilla fusion would do too, and then post the plans on the internet so everyone in the world can benefit. That would solve a hell of a lot problems.

Not serious answer: Quiditch...that shit is just too COOL!

Guyver units.

I'd give them only to specific people so we could form a super group and fight crime and all that jazz.

A long range supersonic jetpack that worked using cold fusion for infinite tomfoolery in the sky.

A sleep bracelet.
It allows you to choose a time that you fall asleep, and a time that you wake up.
Never sleep late and miss something, never be too tired the next day.
No more jetlag

in Victorian England they started work on a device that tipped your hat for you automatically but they never finished it... It reminds me rather nicely of the inventions on the posters in Fable 3 loading screens! I would finish what a genius once started! (maybe give a free one to yahtzee, I heard that he rarely wears his hat in public and there is no better incentive that i could think of than this!)

I read that as 'fight jazz'
which made me laugh.
But i'd probably invent something that shows the truth, seriously, the truth is all i want out of life, and maybe a nice girlfriend too :3 (not invent the girlfriend, im not like that :p)

The Teleporter...but NOT a portable one.

One that works just like the airline works, just that instead of booking a flight you book a location to teleport to. I would explain this better but I dont have time lol

An alarm device that causes the bed to vibrate heavily, rather than blaring a massive siren for the entire morning.

Reason being, I often sleep through my alarm clock when I've programmed it. >_<

The list would be endless... psycho-kinetic implant chip that you simply plug into a very small band connected to your nervous system on your arm? Hell-yeah! Said implants for every damn thing I want? Hell yeah.

This is going to sound very nerdy... but something that would come in very handy in high school maths: an axes stamp. with adjustable lengths of axis, and scale lines already drawn in.. I didn't come up with this idea, by the way, a classmate did. We've been trying to convince him to actually invent it ever since. The amount of graphs that we have to draw, it would save SO much time and tediousness

A freaking teleporter, no question. I'd own an apartment in a city with good connections, and an empty beach somewhere hot, so when I got home from work or whatever, I could just step out straight to paradise.
