Well, Optimus Prime is technically a video game character now, so...

Failing that, other than the option of an attractive female (nobody's mentioned Sheva Alomar yet, yes please!), it'd have to be Mewtwo.

OH YEAH!

To have my own companion cube would be awesome...it would never speak, it would never threaten to stab me...we would be perfect for eachother!

A Colossus. You could build a house on it., or a Dragon.

I woldn't want Laura Croft as she would blow up my house.

ME??
I'd have a collection of pets, actually

FIRST, i'd have a zergling (good to play fetch with, keep intruders away from the front lawn at night, and fetch me the mail in the morning)

SECOND, i'd get me a companion cube (face it, with a trained pet zergling running around the house, i need something that will love me unconditionally even when i have it shoved against the super-sized dog-house door to make sure the zergling doesn't get out)

THIRD, I'd have Bumblebee of course. WHO DOESN'T want a 2009 Chevy Camaro that doesn't need fuel to run, doesn't need replacement parts or get scratched or dented or damaged, and can transform into a giant plasma-rifle-wielding loyal protector whenever my zergling gets too excited?

Sigh... It'd be awesome.

I don't really care how obvious it is, I'd have a pokemon and it'll probably be Bulbasaur, Mainly because he's my favourite pokemon, but mostly because he could solarbeam things from extreme distances.

How much fun could you have on top of a tall building over a market or just a city centre with a pokemon that could fire laserbeams? Far too much :p
