I would choose the realm of Oblivion for my game world.
Damn i shouldve said that, sure your still constantly under attack from bandits but at least you can sit in a chair!
Haha but you could find a solitary place learn the way of a bow and arrow and not have to worry about being slain! And when you're done, could go and have a nice sit in an inn.

Or make my fortunes living in the city then gamble them away on the arena.

I'd say Fallout. I've always found the post-apocalyptic setting very interesting. Send me into the Mojave with a 1911 and a sawed off, and I'm one happy camper.
Nah, you just want Fisto.
Hah, of course not. That's... That's ridiculous.

[sub]Fisto is just an added bonus...[/sub]

I'd live in the Mass Effect universe and shag an Asari B]
Why shag one blue chick when you could be in the game world of 'Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball 2' and shag like 10 chicks with massive knockers
Do all those "chicks" happen to resemble 10-year-old girls? <__<

Live in Runescape, max all combat skills killing yaks and whatnot, steal Staff of Armadyl, kill Lucien with it, use the staff and the Stone of Jas to become a god, ally with Zaros and rule the world.

In a less MMO setting, I guess the Mist Continent from FFIX. Wander amongst the cities, learn me some magic, be a red mage (jack of all trades ftw), fuck shit up in trance, get it on with a Burmecian, etc.

WoW, definately.

I mean survival would be too easy. Kill some kobolds for half an hour each day and you've got enough coin to buy food for a week. Clothes are dirt cheap too, as you can just get some grey items players got, and have em give it to you instead of vendoring it.

That and if you pick the right area to live in you don't have to worry about rain, or wandering mobs or bandits, only the occasional horde you need to hide from.

Then sit and watch (and probably die) as Mehrunes Dagon ruins all your plans.

Pfah! Duty are nothing but fascist ignoramuses who will destroy all things of any scientific value within the zone. They are the way backwards not forward.

Final Fantasy IX probably, assuming after the end there would be enough entertainment in the form of adventures and heroic questing, and I am not meerly a peasent who gets crushed to death by a falling rock after a builder made a mistake
