Are you kidding? The last place I'd ever want to be is in a video game, yeah I love video games but mainly because they are unreal places. Like have you any idea how many people get killed in video games?
I mean Liberty City sounds fun but if I am IN a game that mean someone will be playing in a game I LIVE in! I mean just walking down the streets when some SUV comes barrelling along at 100 miles per hour being driven by someone... some entity from ANOTHER DIMENSION. No consequences so he ploughs through me and everyone else on the pavement and the super realistic physics sends my body flying.
OK, GTA was a bad example, how about Sims? Nice lovely game where the player entity's entire goal is to make your life easy?
Right?
WRONG!
I've seen my sister play Sims and she is and angel in real life but in that game she turns sadistic, a sadistic god, Cthulhu basically. I don't know what it says about the human condition but she does everything short of torturing them, put them in a house with no doors nor windows... no escape and toys with them like the crazy guy from Saw like fill the place with water fountains but no toilet. Manipulate them till they kill each other, it's like "Hell is Other People" only YOU are the devil.
Ultimately, the reason I would hate to ever be in a video game is no matter how good or nice of pleasant the game is in itself, the fundamental component is there will be someone from outside the game world playing it and when anyone has that much power and no consequences... my god.
