Hmm... Any of either Metal Gear Solid, God of War or Half-Life. If they were guaranteed to be good, those would be the most I would want to see.

I'd go with Far Cry 2.

Bear with me - the scenario was brilliant, but the execution of the storyline was absolutely dire. If it was re-written with a more character-driven, complex plot, I'd love to see it as a film.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, made by whoever Bioware has working on the trailers for The Old Republic (at least for the visual side of things). The admittedly fairly large element of player choice would be gone, but the plot is still excellent, and the World could use not only a good video game movie, but another good Star Wars movie. The closest Star Wars has come to recapturing it's original essence was in the Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars, and most people don't know about that.

If I could make it into a good movie? Probably Halo. Those live action trailers always looked extremely promising.
I didn't believe they would be any good until I saw that ODST live action trailer, from that point on I wholeheartedly believed a movie done right would be awesome. Though admitedly i'd focuse on ODSTs rather than spartan 117, humanise the story.

Bioshock, I don't trust it's current director. and damned, I would work hard on it.

God of War, Crysis, a Warhammer 40,000 movie, Dead Space and Dante's Inferno too.

Also Half-Life 1, although I think the second one wouldn't work so well, with the gravity gun and all.
Bioshock will never work, the whole point of that game was the choices YOU made and how it turned out that none of your choices were your own. You can't capture that in film.

Halo. A million times Halo.

Like a movie that explores all the depth of the universe and combines real drama and emotion with kickass action sequences, something so astoundingly good that it blows the minds of all human beings across the globe.

I'm torn between Shadow of the Colossus and Knights of the Old Republic.

On the one hand, a good Star Wars movie? Guaranteed? Would it be possible to very delicately remove my knowledge of the plot? Otherwise, well done as it might be, the KOTOR movie wouldn't have the same impact as the game because I know what's going to happen in the end.

On the other hand, adapting SotC for the big screen is probably my greatest fantasy. So yeah, that.

Mount and Blade.

An epic tale of love, deception, betrayal, revenge and peasant stabbery. Lots of speeches. And murder.

So a Portal movie then?
Now that would blow minds.

The Left 4 Dead games were actually made to be like movies in game. If they could make it so they weren't action all the time they could be good as movies.

And yeah, I'd love to see a few Half Life movies. @_@

I think some of these are being made into movies anyway.... but, I would pick Dead Space, Fallout 3, Darksiders, Metro 2033 and Left 4 Dead
