I really want to make my idea for the ultimate MMO... why is it ultimate? because of the differnt games you have in one! I really enjoyed playing ww2online because once you get bored of playing as a soldier, you go and ride in a tank, if you get sick of that, go fly a plane or sail a ship.
But I know that making it would not really work because it would take ALOT of resources and work to create something of which im thinking... one day maybe we can have a game like this XD Ive seen a few attempt kinda what im thinking off (look at the battlecruiser series).

setting:
The idea, there are 4 waring races, each out to take and hold planets and systems etc to better them selves etc etc

:Blob type nation, think of nurgle from warhammer/40k, these large creatures of bile disease evolved from invertibrates.

:Crystal nation, beings of pure rock and crystal (just because you never really see them alot in games)

:Insectoid nation, aliens, bugs:starship troopers, zerg etc you get the picture.

:Reptilian, because I didnt want a mammal based race :p

Now the games is just a mix bread of differnt games, depending on what you want to do.

so you have the main battle front, this is a 3rd FPS/RTS/Combat vehicle sim

Now for people who have played games like savage, you would have a good idea about how this works. Basically the front line is made of differnt levels (depending on rank and prefrence) you have your differnt troops, heavy, light, close combat, scouts etc etc (each race has its own prefrence, e.g. the Bugs like close combat, but the crystal like long ranged attacks). Then you have commanders, who can build turrets, defences, troops spawns etc but have an over veiw of the battlefield (from what the troops can see) and command the troops of what they should do (if the troops follow orders it is up to them, but there is a pre-motion, de-motion system, to give people incentive to follow orders).

Then there is the flight/space sim part.
This is where you transport troops, become a space trader, fight in the space battles, but also you pilot craft to support ground troops, planetry bombardment etc

mmorpg
now the thing about space, lots of un-explored planets, each race needs people to explore various places, kill monsters, find resources, start new settlements, this is set up kinda like a trypical mmo, havent worked all the ideas out though. it would more like Elderscroll games...

Puzzle game.
Now these space ships, factorys etc need mechanics and people to fix stuff, so if you like playing puzzle game you would enjoy this, as each type of vehicle has its own little puzzle system and the quicker and better you are at the puzzle the quicker that the ships, tanks can be repaired and continue to fight. The more damage that gets done, the harder the puzzle

Life Sim/sim.
In all wars you need citizens, people to run the planets and build buildings etc. if you enjoy sim city typ management games then you can build new cities, keep them under control and running smooth etc. if you enjoy the sims, well each war needs an economy, you can furnish you house, get jobs, talk to people and support your troops on the front line.

Government/politics
obviously in something like this, you need corperations, governments, military and people to generally run things (think of eve)

Now EVERYTHING interacts, everything, so what you do at one part effects others, like economy etc. Alot of stuff is automated to fill in for when people arnt online (so you will have an automated mechanic if yours isnt on board, your enconomy will still work if no oneis working and there are set basic templates if no one is around to build cities etc etc). But lets say your race is losing the war, well a large arm has came onto your planet and your house, job etc could all be destroyed (if your are in the sim part). Your planet you are MMORPGing on, could also have the enemy mmoers on it so you have a pvp situation, or worse, enemy troops and get your butt blown to bits...

yeah that is a bit extensive but ive always wanted to play a game like this... one day...maybe XD

Multiple-faction Zombie-based RTS. With Space Battles. Except the player can jump down anytime in the battles and control a single unit, or a squad if they choose, or even a Capital Ship.

I would fill a void that is empty in every gamers heart:

I would make a new sonic game. Only this time you have a friendly weasel, and nikes.

Sounds kinda like mine except for the zombies.

The zombies can't change planets unless they stow aboard a ship.

an RPG with full party creation and combat somewhere between Turn based and realtime. I'd borrow interface elements from total war and warcraft3.

A game where you act out the most brutal parts of the Bible (and if you refuse to kill the people God tells you to kill you get struck by lightning) just to annoy the censors because they usually pounce on anything that orders the player to kill but holy texts contain enough of that without any legal restrictions. The ultimate goal would be to make a judge overturn the censorship system.

I would hire Yahtzee to make his idea of the perfect game: watch his Saints Row 2 review.

I would make a first person shooter about space marines.
Kidding!
I would actually make a first Person Shooter about a group of young teenagers rise against a terrorist threat which hit them hard. Possibly set in Africa to make it realistic (Well, it would take a few hours for the british to react to a terrorist threat, and the same for America).

I'd try to do a Warhammer 40k FPS properly. Or a Warhammer 40k game in a Battlefield 2 type of online multiplayer.

I'd make a MMORPG set in the Firefly universe. People could be Alliance, Reavers, Smugglers/Criminals or Other (such as transport, cargo or civilian). It would be in the form of Eve except more interactive, less spreadsheet style and very simple to do. Easter eggs I'd have would be ships named The River Tam, The Reynold, The Holy Book, The K-Mechanic, The Jay and The Companion (as homage to the characters). Also it would have a large amount of freedom and if one were to lose or have stolen a large amount of in game currency, if he/she were of high enough stature he/she could involve the Alliance and a huge hunt would ensue (so that Eve-esque scams wouldn't seem as though they have no consequences).

In terms of single player I'd create a turn-based RPG. It would be set in a fantasy setting (with swords and magic). The story I don't know however it won't be the classic guy learns he has powers and sets out to save the world. It'll probably just be some normal guy dragged into a war. Furthermore there would be the chance to play as the bad guys.

So what do you think?

I'd make a sandbox crime came with lots of citys and freeplay mode.

Your actions afect everything that happens in the game. For example, people will alwys hate you for killing someone unprovoked (it felt weird being able to blow someone's head off in Fallout 3, only for some random guy to walk up to you say "God bless you"), but it depends on how they feel about the victim. If their popular they'll try to attack you on sight, but if everyone hated the victim, they'd keep their distance but leave you alone.

It would have lots of diffrent veichels ranging from race cars with good handling, to planes equipped with bombs, to a mysteirious government car that has low health, can drive up buildings, and alwys regenarates after being destroyed.

Also there will be an attack mode with several weapons including a homing missile launcher, and ranging from a brick to LMG's. And when these can't be used, there is a stealth mode, where you must creep around bases taking severel details to mind, and try to work out a weakspot in enemy defences for you to attack. Be it blueprints, drug factory or anything else discriminating or weak.

And after finishing the story, you get extras, such as creative new weapons (knife = saftey pin, Desert eagle = banana on steroids) or an alternate storyline where the game severly takes the p*** out of itself.

Oh, and all radio will be Metallica. METAL UP YOUR ASS!!!

I would make a few:
A war game in Sudan (If you dont know what I mean, please ask)
And this is Cliche, but Its never been done properley. A hero can go between times. But like, a destroyed bridge? Go back in time and stop the bandits that destroyed it. Pure awsome.
If you stop bandits form destroying the bridge, that means the bridge is not destroyed in the future. Which means...why would you go in the past to prevent the destruction of a bridge that is not destroyed?
Dont be such an Oxymoron! *TEEHEE* That was very PUNNY! :)

A run 'n' gun, a shmup, and a "Smash Bros."-type game that featured either a roster of SEGA licensed characters or a lineup of non-exclusive mascots.
