Nnnnope. I just figured you were jumping on the "America is teh sux" bandwagon that every single country on the planet is jumping on.
Not that I don't agree that America sucks. I do. It's just getting boring.
Lewis Black is amusing, however.
Simple case of cause and effect really, the US becoming less and less popular lately.
But, to elaborate on my answer, and to show that I'm not just parroting almost every single non-American (and some Americans), I'd like to say why I'd like to make America disappear.
The overwhelming power of the US military, coupled with segregationist and protectionist politics, causes global polarizations: an us versus them mentality, if you'll excuse the unintentional pun. On one side the rich, 'civilised' west, and on the other hand the godless savages of elsewhere on the globe: or, that's the generally accepted idea.
While the EU takes active measures to secure human rights in countries without resorting to any force, the United States are keen to flex their military muscles. Which wouldn't be so bad if it didn't provoke reactions of a similar kind, which it sadly does.
Alas, the United States itself is not the only one to suffer the consequences: the polarisation causes generalisation, i.e. ALL capitalists are dicks, ALL white people are oppressors. This makes the EU's job of safeguarding human rights difficult, and even perilous.
But then again, maybe I won't even have to wish 'em away. The country has pretty much run itself into the ground without any outside help whatsoever. Won't be long now before they're absolutely insignificant in global affairs.
Ok, so I'll pick another:
Segways. There's no excuse for this mode of transportation.
