Honestly there aren't too many games that I've heard of this year that I'd call a must play, or at least that makes me think it can't wait. Also, I get to cheat as I have many games that my room mates have gotten and I never gotten about to playing (Mass Effect 1+2, Dragon Age, Fallout New Vegas, Overlord 2, Bioshock 2, Epic Mickey to name a few...) so it still isn't going to be a slow year.

I could make do with just Skyrim, to be honest. I can't think of anything else that I'm really desperately waiting for, unless they get another Assassin's Creed out before the end of the year. If they do, it'd better be before November 'cos I'm pretty sure Skyrim will be the only thing I play from release day until the end of the year at the very earliest.
I'll have a look at Portal 2, but it worries me - one of the things I like so much about the original is the brevity - even Valve couldn't get away with releasing a two-hour game at full price so obviously Portal 2 is gonna have to be a lot longer and I'm a bit concerned that it'll start to drag and outstay its welcome towards the end. Oh, and multiplayer... ugh.

Mass Effect 3, Portal 2 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Maybe switch Deus Ex with The Witcher 2 or Skyrim.
