If it didn't have to be a existing animal I'd take a DoDo bird, just because it'd be fun.

Since it does, I'd probably go for a Pygmy Owl.

Some variant of large cat. Either a blue tiger, white tiger, or snow leopard I would think.

Alternatively a Leopard Seal would be pretty awesome for a pet if in the right environment.

Any animal with perfect training...So many choices. Honeybadger, tiger, shark, something that eats spiders...I think I'd take a Siberian Tiger. There's something about them that makes me smile inside. I'd love to just chill out with it all relaxed.

I'd also like to see if they like it when you scratch it's back just near the tail like a housecat does.

Was going to go with a platypus, but still not convinced they actually exist.
Then considered a raven, because they are so intelligent.
