If I could one of any pokemon ever known it would probably be Mewtwo. But not the older version who blows up buildings for fun. I would choose the much younger, naive, and nice version from the "Origin of Mewtwo" short.
That is if he was available. Otherwise I would go with Charizard, because that's the only Pokemon card I never collected of the original 150.

I would have said Pidgeot as well but have you seen the size comparison? The bird doesn't look like it could carry a ten year old boy, much less a grown man.

Excluding legendaries such as Lugia, I would probably have a hard time choosing between Arcanine or anything I could use as transportation.
