If you could resurrect the multiplayer of one game, what would it be?

Is there any game that has little to no multiplayer community that you'd like to bring back?

I didn't play many classic MP games, so I guess the game I'd most like to bring back is Riddick: Dark Athena, just because it seemed (from playing 1 on 1 with my boyfriend) that it would have been interesting. Just no one played it, even after it came out...

I wish there was a way to coordinate a large group to get on certain game servers and play dead MP games.

How about you guys?

Transformers WFC, Nuff said.

It's my favourite multiplayer, but as i have said before it never has over 1000 players on at one time, and if it does, it's like once a year at chrimbo.

Timesplitters. Best multiplayer ever. Plus, how else am I supposed to download user-made maps :(

Last time I checked, US based Starcraft custom campaigns weren't doing so well.

I fucking love Night of the Living dead starcraftified! Night of the Living Dead - Neighborhood and - Mall were the best custom maps ever made!

Honorable mention goes to Cat and Mouse. Ultralisks vs. Probes. Shit was intense.

Well, it never actually had a real online component, so it would be more like creating an online component, but I would love to play Mario Kart Double Dash online. Really curious as to how well I'd do against the world.

I never got to play Full Auto with anybody seeing as I was years late to the 360....
But I really really would love to be able to play Tribes online. Aerial Assult. Still don't know how to use a PS2 online. I didn't even know it could.

Chromehounds times a million. Squad-based combat and giant stompy robots? What more does a game need?

There are a lot of games I wish I could play online again... Heavy Gear 2, Quake 2, Dark Reign 2, idk...Tribes. Tribes 2 has the whole Tribes NeXT thing going on, and PlayTribes could kick off, and Tribes Universe looks fantastic, but I would really like to play the original again...

UT'99 is still playable, but could use more players.
Same with BF1942.

But nothing compares to wanting to play Dark Reign 2, or Total Annihilation, or...Damn, so many.

Mechwarrior 2! That's my answer. I think.
A lot of great games still have communities if you look hard enough and put the effort in. But a lot of 'em just don't. Phantasy Star Online is a close runner-up.

You know, I always wanted to play Dungeon Keeper 2 and Freedom Force online, but there were NEVER any players online. I was always curious how those two held up in multiplayer.

Star Fox 64 or any game of the like. I kick ass at the Star Fox 64 multiplayer, but I've only gotten to play against a handful of people. I'm not really tournament-winning material with any other multiplayer game but I am with Star Fox 64.

The Arwing multiplayer in Star Fox Assault sucked, though. They mapped all the special moves that were really tricky to pull of in 64 to the c-stick. Every match turn into a ridiculous war of attrition with every just doing loop after loop ad nauseum.
