I'm going with the giant tortoise. Yes they are still around per say however some of the subspecies are extinct like Pinta Island tortoise aka what Lonesome Geroge is.

Arthropleura. Think of all the things we could train them to do. Not including scaring the piss out of people.

NO. NO! EFF you! If you brought those back, I swear to God, I'd jump you and feed you to them as punishment!

I'd wait for the inevitable extinction of the panda and then bring it back.
This, but for tigers, not pandas.
"why not adopt a tiger or a panda for £3 a month? it will write to you and even send you a welcome gift"

if these animals can write and have their own postal service then why are they going extinct?

"this may also make a great gift for a loved one"

what a great gift, you've signed me up to a direct debit

As other's have said, I want the Thylacine back, which is usually called a tasmanian tiger, even though it's more of a tasmanian wolf.

I blame Leviathan, I want my own Tazza

I would bring back the proud and majestic Phil Hartman. Such a noble creature that could spread joy and amazement to the world.

On a more serious note, I dunno...probably one that I feel deserves an honest shot. I mean no offense to extinct species, but I imagine a lot of them went extinct for a reason...

After much thought (and a brief glance through wikipedia) I think I will give my answer to the Japanese Sea Lion.

Dodos. Because, after witnessing the phenomon of funny cat memes, I cannot wait to see what the denizens of the interwebz would do with motherfucking dodos.

They were most likely herbivores so nothing to worry about.

OT: T-rex is my favorite thing of the ancient past so that.

Besides that, Saurophaganax for a kick ass name.

Unicorns!!

That'd be a cool thing, more rainbows, that means more leprechauns, which means more pots of gold!

+ they'd probably bring Dragons with them too at the same time :D

The original cold virus. Their most common ancestor. We can study it and build a vaccine that targets all of it's descendants.

None, because they died for a reason and I don't want to do to the world what cane toads did to Australia.

Prehistoric hemp. Yeah it might not have the THC content of their modern descendants but EVERYTHING was bigger back in the day.
