Admittedly it would be fun to say that to the first person to see what would happen to the world.

Jesus existed, that's pretty much fact. It's whether or not he was more than just a normal man that is up to debate.

The Da Vinci code was terrible and extremely loosely based on any truth. Angels and Demons was better but is also meant to be taken with a bucket of salt.

The problem is that The Da Vinci Code was a work of fiction, simply one man's ideas about something. Many people then took it as fact or as an attempt to undermine their religion. It's as if the completely disregarded that the book is fictional. It did raise some interesting questions, though, and it certainly is possible (and very likely) that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married. Jesus having been a Jewish man, it is more unlikely that he would not have been married.

Anyway, not trying to start a hate thread, I'll get back on topic.
