If you could see yourself living off one food for the rest of your days, what would it be?

No doubt there, my friend. Things cooked in crock-pots always seem to be so tender if you let them cook a while. I generally make the time to cook. If I can't cook it right, there's no point, in my opinion. Though, most things don't have to cook too long, and if they do, you can usually leave them alone to cook for a time (just checking on them and stirring regularly). Though, I also make enough food to eat off it for a few days afterward to save me time during the week.

Damn. This is the second thread I wrote in about food in the last 10 minutes. People must be hungry on the site today.[/quote]

Definitely! I really need to start cooking more often. I seldom have the ingredients I need to make what I want though.
Oh God, I made the thing and everything that everyone has posted sounds delicious. I'm actually starving now, haha! On a side note, I really am so surprised I'm not fat with the amount of rubbish that I eat! Haha!

Being Japanese, its kinda ingrained in me :p ironically, even though my ancestors ate cooked fish constantly, i cant STAND cooked fish. Makes me gag, weird huh?

Sushi HAS to be prepared right, if you DONT, people get very sick. I had a friend eat sushi someone made at home using non sushi grade fish, and he was sick for a straight month, puking and diarrhea. it was BAD.
Haha, I don't find it weird at all! Just what you're used to, eh? I have some weird eating habits, like eating raw mushrooms and the skin off of kiwis. A lot of people find the latter really, really gross though I don't see the slightest problem about it. Oh, totally. Actually, I think that's what puts me off it really. S: Though I suppose I'd be best waiting to try it properly in a restaurant as opposed to getting really, really cheap stuff from Tesco, huh? :L

It's best to have some plan of what you want. Or to keep extra lying around. I tend to keep bags of flour and sugar for just in case as well as extra seasonings and such. It really sucks when I return from the store to find that I'm missing one thing. Kinda feel like just giving up on the meal for the day. Sometimes I do and make something else or even order a pizza. Lol

Hey, you made this thread and now you're hungry? That sounds like karma. Or something like that.

Big Macs, I could live off those for the rest of my life.
Granted, living off those would severely shorten the rest of my life, but damn it'd be a tasty way to die.

Most of my meals involve chicken and salad, so I'll just say chicken salad. Depending on the content of salad and dressings, I actually could live off of that in relatively good health.

Pizza! Any kind of toppings really, sans Pineapple/Onions/Peppers really. It has most of the nutritional needs covered, and I love Pizza. Favorite has to be the classic Pepperoni.

Well, since you didn't say we couldn't make something up, I'm going to say magical wishing donuts. You would get a wish for every bite, and they'd give you the perfect male or female beach body. It can tell the difference because it's magic. It would keep you healthy, and you'd get a wish for every bite. Plus it would be impossibly delicious. I think I just imagined the perfect food.

Macaroni and Cheese from Luby's. It's a Texas thing, but by God it's amazing. When I was sick for a couple of weeks and couldn't keep anything down, that's all I ate once I recovered. Just bowl upon bowl of it.

This is may sound strange, but something that I make on special occasions that is basically Greek ravioli. Homemade ravioli stuffed with roasted lamb, spinach, and goat cheese in a light cream sauce or with some pesto.

I need to go shopping now too...

Well. It could be a meal, if you want.
Now, don't just pick something off the top of your head or come up with something because, say, "it has all the vitamins etc. that I need to survive" because I'm more or less getting at what you eat near enough all the time that you may as well live off it.
Err, what makes you think people eat their favourite foods so often that they might aswell chuck away the rest of the stuff? That simply isn't the case for most people.

But fine, I'll play by your rules, and I'll say Doritoes, they just taste so damn great, though sadly eventually I'll tire of 'em.. then again I'd literally tire of any other type of food too.

But if actually in real life I could just choose one type of food I could eat for the rest of my life, I'd choose milk, possibly with cereals of some sort.
