The Character: The Gengar in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red/Blue, I understand that he was the antagonist and was meant to cause conflict in the actual story as opposed to just random encounters in Dungeons, but in my opinion there's a fine line between being an Antagonist for a legitimate reason and just being a dick for the sake of being a dick. And why he is a dick isn't fully explained in the main story, you have to to a post-game mission where you escort him to a special place where he redeems himself, where he then demonstrates that he has not leveled up since you fought him near the start of the game, so escorting him is like balancing pottery on wet tissues.
The Weapon: Being a Ghost type, most guns wouldn't effect him, so I'd simply use Megaman's Black Hole Bomb from Megaman 9 and crush him into a really small space. Yeah, try and sway a mob into chasing me through an active Volcano now...
