But i always wanted to try and make two portals opposite eachother, insert a long object and weld it to itself so it couldnt be removed.

But nice idea. Never even thought of that. Closing the portals would...cut it at each end so it would become like you have sawed the object in half, turned each half in on itself and welded in the middle. That would be bad-ass.
