They largely patched the suicidal-AI bug, but in the early versions especially, any AI-controlled reinforcements had a nasty habit of marching the general in as a point man and getting him killed.

"Suck" is not a word I'd ever use to describe my play at RTW, not when I've been playing it for five years and I've beaten the Imperial Campaign on VH/VH as every playable faction (and made a passable effort with the non-playables)
