You'd think so, but most Warhammer 40k enthusiasts and scholars (myself included) agree that although in general military terms the Space Marines and the Inquisition together have the best military capabilities, when it comes to tanks and general heavy armament the Imperial Guard are on top. The Mars workshops produce most Imperial tanks and such and they usually prove superior to the Space Marines' own creations and armaments. The Baneblade in particular is recognised as being the ultimate tank for Imperial use, and really the Guard need better tanks and so on to make up for the fact that they don't have as good an armed force as the Marines, or indeed, the Sisters of Battle...
