Anyone else wonder what things would be like if you traveled back in time and jerked off into the primordial ooze? Everyone in the universe would be your cousin, it'd be just like Kentucky on a global scale.

Beginning of time, Creation of the universe and evolution of humanity, and bring back some evidence (to prove Creationists/religions possibly, wrong :p)

Extinction of the dinosaurs, such an awesome (in the non-amazing sense) and powerful event

Hitler's election campaign-to try and figure out why exactly people believed in him

The Cuban Revolution-I like Cuba

Assassination of JFK-to find out who did it

Probably the whole of my childhood, to try and find out why I'm how I am today

Since when were Muslims not civilised? They've contributed more to the progress of human civilisation than anyone else on the planet.
Like what?
As has been said, medicine, chemistry, mathematics etc. Probably the biggest one (and the one I first thought of) was military technology and methodologies. Assassinations and so forth. If you don't think these are great advancements in human technology and psyche, watch that speech the president guy makes in "Armageddon". Some of the greatest advancements ever made were made during wars.

Personally I'd go back in time to stand on the grassy knoll and yell "duck!" (Obscure TV references abound), or try witness the birth of man Space Odyssey style - to see if we evolved or were just created. Or if the monolith exists ;)

The fall of the Byzantine empire. The last bastion of the civilised world falls to the muslims. Worst. Historical. Moment. Ever.

As for what I'd see... hmm...

Hendrix at Woodstock. I would be in total awe.
What? Idk the whole eye for an eye system, plus the barbaric treatment of women, I mean it was bad then, to do it now is unacceptable
Anyway, I wanna see the French revolution (from a distance).

Isn't that more of a cultural/religious thing? I mean, Muslim (Islamic/Arabic science etc.) society -has- made many achievments to science and the arts.

Anyway...history events...hmm, well, I think I'd like to visit the earth when we still had Pangaea, you know, just to see what things were like.

One of the other things I've managed which I'm proud of. Imagine Santa crossed with your favourite Uncle. :)
i missed my chance to meet him when he was around, i was sad, tho i surprised the hell out of Ed Greenwood when i walked by him and asked if he was himself or not.
Also met and chatted with Sandy Petersen (Call of Cthulu), Greg Costikyan(Paranoia) [who called me 'the most weaselly player he's ever met': So proud!!!!], as well as a host of BBC TV stars.

For me it'd be the bloodiest battle in history, the Battle of Stalingrad. I'm immensely interested in the Eastern Front of WWII and I am especially fascinated at how the Russians managed to hold out on this thin strip of bombed out buildings, rubble and twisted metal.

Of course there's a lot of Eastern Front battles I'd like to get a first hand look at, but this would be my first choice if it were a possibility.
