I'd go 10 minutes into the future to see how everything's changed.

Though, I wouldn't really want to time travel one-way.

If I choose to use it I would go to San-Francisco in the mid-late 60's and most likely OD on a ton of drugs.

My first thought was to go back to high school and tell myself to fucking pay attention and not fuck about.

Then i plumped for going back before bill gates robbed the idea for windows and beat him to it!

Well, as much as I love the past, I'd hate to be stuck in it. As for the future, it could be worse then now. I'll stay right where I am thank you.

September 2005. Research the winning lotto numbers for that time. Win lots and lots of money. Go to my college, and find myself. Give myself a large chunk of cash to live a life of luxary with, and explain to myself that I need to go to the time machine and travel back to this point. That way, either he becomes me, condensing me into 1 entity in the same time period, or I become effectively immortal. I hide the money in an account, and live my life the way I normally did, with a few key changes regarding...ahem...women. Definitely end up with a certain girl, ace all my classes because I already took them, become wildly successful based mainly on my future knowledge, and then reveal the money and live a awesome life, here and now, with all of the people I know.

Exactly, long term planning is for newbies. Except my birthday is at the end of this week so I would have a bit more purpose to go to Friday.

To the far, far, far, far, far future - to see how the world has turned out. Doesn't matter if I die there - I just need to know if we ever make it out of the solar system.

Well, then you'll meet up with yourself somehow because you only went forward a week, or maybe you didn't because if you went into the future, would all of you go or would it be like Click where you're put on auto-pilot or something or maybe... OH NO YOU'VE CREATED A TIME PARADOX!

I would go to a time when it's cool to wear a leather jacket.

I think the recent past is the obvious choice, the future is unpredictable and you can always invest in stocks you know well, make alot of money, etc.

I would take a shit load of guns to the Medieval period and raise an army and conquer Europe :)
Is it sad that I have researched and understand enough 'alchemy' that if I found myself back in time I could prove the principles of black power weapons?

75, 15, 10 I believe.... Carbon, potassium nitrate, surfer. Or in the old tongue: Charcoal, Saltpetre, brimstone.

I don't want to take over the world, but being a very strongly placed 'lord' in charge of production of rifled long arms would be a very powerful position in any kingdom.

Probably back before my grandpa died. He died right before I was born and everyone in my family tells me that we were exactly the same. I don't know what I would say to him, but getting to meet him at least once would be worth it. It would also be nice to see my grandma one more time while I was at it. I know it's not really a cool answer, but I just can't think of a time I'd want to go to more. After that I would just start my life over again and live it like normal but maybe taking a few extra risks along the way.

To 1992 to see me being born, and punch my dad in the face for leaving my mom. Also be the head of Sega.
