if you had a Portal Gun, what would you do?

I would create a trap

Put a Portal onto the ground, another in the ceiling,and then drop a knife through.

I would also put one in-between walls, and then shoot a bullet through.

I would then be the first person to watch a bullet die off

To make to bullet go through the portals straight enough for it to not veer off course and be a problem, you'd have to be extremely accurate, and fast, cos when shooting, you're essentially aiming at the back of your head.

I would create a large-ish vacuum tube, with a portal at the top and a portal at the bottom, with a heavy object perpetually falling. And accelerating.

As it approaches 'c', it should accelerate even further, as it's mass will have increased, which should eventually result in;

- A physical, completely non-wave object traveling at the speed of light.

- Screwing up the earth's tectonic system as my object exerts enough gravitational force to screw with the mantle, core etc.

You could be the worlds best theif, walk in drop a portal under what you want other portal is in your room. then just turn the portals off. Tada! I would be king of practical jokes.

Firstly, all those people putting portals in the sun and moon etc; you forget the power of gravity. There'd be some freaky stuff happening around that portal when you spontaneously introduce a giant object with mass into the earth and the Sun would destroy Earth in a second


My use: psychological experiments. Make people run through an endless maze consisting of only one room.

Alternatively, use the edges to slice bread.

So I would put each Portal 1 mile away from each other,and make a mechanical arm do the shooting.

First I would see how high I could go after jumping out of a plane. I.e, Put one on the ground, get in plane, fly, leap and put down the second one just before I hit the ground.
Points to observe are, people's faces as they see a dude go straight through the ground and back on the airport runway when a dude just pops out of the ground.
Also theres the personal mindfuck factor of nearly dying a splatty death followed by the sudden reversal of your entire perspective.

Take it apart. Seriously, how many chances are you going to get to study this kind of technology. Take it apart piece by piece, carefully documenting my work so that I can put it back together perfectly.
