If You Had a Rewind Button

What if you had the ability to travel backwards in your personal timeline whenever you wanted? Would you choose to go back many years and relive your life, correct whatever mistakes you made recently, or just try to correct all of your mistakes?

Personally, I'd use the rewind button to be as impressive as possible. I'd try something amazing, and if I failed, rewind. I don't think I'd want to go backwards in my life, but I'd use the rewinds to live my life from now as well as possible. It would be tempting to use the rewinds to do something unethical and then cancel it out, but as far as I'm concerned doing something bad and then rewinding would still cause suffering.

It would be easy to become a demigod with the ability of rewinding. You could do anything.

I would just go back about 4-6 years and fix a couple things and not do the major mistakes I have, which have turned my life into *.

I'd probably rewind a couple of years to ensure that I was in university by now instead of still trying to get the grades for it. Except for that, there's not really anything I would change.

i'd be like nick cage in that movie that no one cared about. i'd use it to live off of gambling (kinda like Bond) but keep under the radar of the FBI. generally i'd just try to enjoy life as much as possible.

If I would be permitted to keep my current state of mind when the button was struck, I'd go back as far as I can clearly remember (elementary school years) and relive my life the way I want to. With the prior knowledge of how certain things will turn out, then I think things would turn out much better in the end.

Currently, I'm taking a Japanese language course at the community college. Once completed, I would hit the button to before I took the class, with all that acquired knowledge in my head, and take the next class. I could learn a whole new language in the span of a day!

Well, I wouldn't use my powers to travel back to before I got them. As far as I'm concerned, what's happened in my life has happened.

BUUUUUUUT, that doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy the hell out of them NOW.

Toast lands butter side down? *rewind* Not anymore, bitches!

*Goes to a movie theater* That movie sucked! *rewind* At least it didn't cost me anything!

I think you get the idea.

Oh, and somewhere in there, I'd be a superhero. Stop crimes before they are committed. Like in that one movie that I can't remember with the three bald psychics.

I would go back to when I was entering 6th grade and take band instead of art. That might've been the biggest single mistake of my life.

God, thank you. That was pissing me off trying to remember that.

I wouldn't go back to change things, that'd just cause a paradox. However, every amazing moment in my life from now on would probably happen a few times. I'd be such a happy person!

I would use it to get money!

Wrong lotto numbers? Just rewind and choose the winning ones! Or for betting!

I WILL BE RICH IN NO TIME! MWAHAHAHHA!

...Now if I only could do it, I would be set for life...

This would be awesome. Think of all the people I would never have to meet, and all the idiotic things that I did that have been eating away at me for years. They would all be gone! Life would be better!

Oh, and I could use it to get rich, I guess.

I would probably rewind myself back to when I started going to University (good times). I would be reliving the good times and alter any bad things happen at that time. I would still get rich since I sort of remember this lotto number combo on this year (the numbers were all in the 20 areas).

I'd go back a week and stop myself from being brutally led on by one of my closest friends.

My personal timeline being the time from which I was extracted from the womb? Well I guess that cuts out going back in time to alter history...
I might take up gambling, though always appearing to know the outcome would just get me thrown out of most places. (fine if the people go broke, but not when you start losing money, eh, casinos? Cheap, hypocritic fucks.)

I could try being a prize fighter, dodging punches the second time, but if I go down in one punch, (very likely by the look of some of those guys) that wouldn't work too well.

I would probably try insane stunts, (mostly jumping off things) trying and retrying until I looked like a master daredevil.

Talking to people might be easier, if they don't understand what I'm saying the first time, (you might be surprized how often this is) I don't have to waste time clarifying, maybe just rewind and explain differently. Also, you know when you want to ask someone if they know about something, but telling them would instantly confirm that they do? May be a rare thing, but you could ask, find out what they know, and rewind, armed with knowledge of a conversation they don't remember... That could be useful somehow, I'm sure.

Stealing things (NOT that i'm advocating it) would be easy, get caught the first time? Rewind, just as I did in Oblivion when those fucking telepaths were around. Then again, I'm having trouble picturing justified theft at the moment, maybe as a Robin Hood sort of thing. (I hear banks and corporations are getting insane financial breaks, like negative taxes, in the U.S.)

I guess it'd be like a "Load" function, only you have autosaves of every second of your life up until then, live life consequence free.

RAPE! :D
And get rich, oh also I would kill someone I hate and if I ended up sad about it then I would just undo it :) also when i'm on my deathbed i'll go back to the beginning of my life & live it out completely differently.
