I don't think I'd use it, because I'd wonder if the changes I would make would actually make my life better or worse.

I would use it to fix my old relationship. I was the happiest man alive, and then both of us just killed it. I am definitely worse without it.

It would be awesome. Walk up to someone you hate, punch him in the jaw, then just rewind. No one knows it happened, and it would relieve some stress. >:)

And get rich, oh also I would kill someone I hate and if I ended up sad about it then I would just undo it :) also when i'm on my deathbed i'll go back to the beginning of my life & live it out completely differently.
Nice idea, I'd probally steal it, rewind and claim it as my own

I see what you did there.

Yeah, I'd go for the money scams. Lottery, gambling etc. I fancy the idea of being rich. And small rewinds wouldn't hurt, right? Right?

Funny that. Just a bit ago, I hoped I'd have one. Turns out it really wasn't necessary and everything went ok when I just, you know, dared. Still, if I had one, I'd be cleaning slot machines out left and right. See the next hand, rewind and play accordingly.

Oh, and one would be great for my upcoming entry exams. Just see what they're asking, rewind, read that shit up and ace it.

But seriously speaking. I really don't think I'd want one anymore. If you only ever do sure things, if you never have to take a leap of faith, if you never dare to dare, you'll never learn anything and never get out of your comfort zone. There's never the joy that follows daring to be uncertain and getting better for it. You'll never learn anything from the dissappointments, either.
I smashed my comfort zone in the cranium with a sledgehammer two weeks ago, and came out so much happier it's utterly ridiculous.

Can you rewind after you die? I mean, if I did something like jump off of a building and splattered into the pavement, could I rewind after I've died from the impact? Think something like Tim from Braid, who can rewind time if he falls into a pit of spikes or something. If so, I would probably do all kinds of awesome and dangerous things.
On a more practical level, I think that I would bet absurd amounts on sports games and stuff, and then rewind time if I was wrong and bet on the winner. You could also make a ton of money in Vegas. This is also applicable to getting stuff wrong on tests.
Also, any violent urges that I have could be instantly quelled. Let's say that I'm having some problems at work or school. I could punch them in the face, and then rewind time before they have the chance to retaliate and break my spine like a twig. I've never even gotten into a heated argument with someone, so cutting loose every once in a while would be pretty awesome.

However, there is a possible pitfall to this. Would your brain still age after traveling backwards? You could theoretically get dementia by the time you were in your 40s with this power.

Winning the lottery aside, I'd probably start ten years ago, and work my way forwards, changing decisions with the advantage of hindsight :p

REWIND.
But have it, too!!!
/thread (I don't do '/thread's often, so I hope I'm doing it right)

OT: So no fast-forward button? I'd go back to the start of high school and completely re-do everything (from subjects, to how I behave, to who I'm friends with). Adn if I screw anything up along the way? A short re-wind to fix it.

But apart from fixing my teenage life, I'd only use it to save lives, and if I'm about to die from old age or something, then I'd just restart my entire life and do it differently (and knowing early life lottery numbers, I'd be able to have completely different life locations as well (and over the course of lifetimes, I'd meet heps of people, pick those who mean the most to me, and secretly make their lives the best that I can .. also, I'd imagine I'd eventually figure out immortality so that I'm not stuck in a single time loop.

Hm, can i rewind ultra-fast? Well, first i would rewind about 14 years or such. Have an AWESOME time and fix my own attitude. Get better grades, get a degree or something. Enter the casual-games design market when i had the chance (I mean... really... making MONEY with bad games on freaking cellphones? How very unlikely.)

After that i might use it occasional. But trying to keep it non-excessive. (Without chance of failure life would be boring)

It would be a very useful tool for flirting. Just run through every scenario and keep rewinding when I fucked up. I'd also use it to my advantage in like boxing or MMA. Be very useful for both comps. Be hard to beat a guy who can predict your every move (through trial and error):D.

I think that it would be interesting to be able to do something that you've been tempted to do for awhile and then tape over it afterward. Once you've tried it, the temptation would dissipate and you could eliminate all of life's what if moments that way.

Then again, it'd take all the fun out of life too. I think I'd only utilize a rewind power in a situation in which massive amounts of hilarity could ensue.

I would probably rewind every time I said something utterly asinine without thinking. With the rewind remote I would be as charming and witty as James Bond with every single thing I said.

But what would happen if I fell asleep on the remote?!?!?!

Really, I'd rewind to mid-semester (a bit after asking out my girlfriend. I wouldn't want to change how that happened.).

The reason for the rewind is so that I would actually have time to catch up and study my stuff right. I'm currently trying to re-learn and cram in everything for the finals. >_<

I learn from my mistakes so I probably wouldn't rewind and risk creating an uncertain or paradoxical future. I probably wouldn't rewind to relive my past either. My past is behind me, my present before me, and my future just over the horizon.
