Havelock?
Worst case scenario you could always give him Vetinari as a middle name.

I lost a bet in my childhood so I have to name my firstborn "Grace", Regardless of gender. Fortunatley I'll give him my super manly middle name MAXIMILLIAN!

allrighty. My wife and I are having a really hard time picking a boys name for our next child (if it's a girl, we have that squared away). So I turn to you, escapist forum. What are some good boy names?

PS. We have ruled out Sue and Skeletor ;(
Luke is a great choice. That way you can start every day and every speech with: "Luke, I am your father."

Sure not to get old!

Already planned out. First born son is Ryan. Middle will either be my middle or something my wife comes up with. Now all I have to do is find a wife.

I had some friends name their kid Zim, which is fantastic by itself, but between the middle name and the surname, became a recursive acronym too... I probably wouldn't recommend Gir though. Unfortunately, you cannot have a name that is similar to a title, so Doctor and Master are both off the table too.

Malcolm and Simon have both been mentioned, but how about Hoban, Derrial, or Jayne (I can think of two awesome male Jaynes)? If your surname is Doe, that's especially hilarious.

Other ideas.... Optimus? Guybrush? Minsc? Garrett? Andrew-Ryan? Garrus? Urdnot? Thane? Mordin?

I've always liked Rory or Dion. I'd like to name my son a name that's from my background. Something French, Scottish, or Native Canadian (Iroquois if you were wondering) :)

My wife and I were told we were having a girl by ultrasounds and never picked out a boys name. When our child was born, the doctor said, "Well, that's a penis." When I said "WHAT?!" he replied "I went to medical school, that is what we call that thing."

So we had no boys name picked out. I went to the nurses station to see if they had a name book, and they did. I wanted my son to have a name starting with a "D" so his initals out match mine and my dads, but I didn't want him to be a junior and my dad never liked his name, so I wasn't going to name him after him. We found a name that meant "Lover of the Earth", Dmetree. So that is what we went with.

Meitren or something...something made-up or foreign, something nobody else in school will have.
