Don't you imperial dog ME, you milk-drinking simpleton. I carried Jar Ulfric to victory in Solitude myself!

Prolly wont on this kajhiit though. guess that makes me an imperial cat?
Not that you can help the empire. You aren't welcome inside any city you Skooma smuggling thieving furball puking scumbag!
It is weird how that works, isnt it? I choose to believe that no one really cares if the kajhiit come into town, but none of them have ever tried it, so both sides assume theres some sort of law against it

I'd live in a remote Dwarven ruin. Perhaps even in the vast underground one the name of which I forget just now.

Hmmm, going to get some stick for this, but I say the Thalmor Embassy. Firstly, Talos is a man, not a Divine. Secondly, I dig their sweet robes! :)

*Puts up steadfast ward against incoming flames.*
It's cool that you like the Thalmor, but really it's always been obvious that Talos is a god*.

But on topic I think I'd have to go with Whiterun because it's the safest and most stable. Was considering Riften for the weather and mead but the crime makes it a no-go.

*Just ask one of his avatars, such as - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Wulf or http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:The_Prophet

says one man, while all the others in town give off the sense that this is not the case

I'm just wondering how you picked at that and not the fact that i called markarth morthal several times
Excessive alcohol abuse really screws with what you deem important. But there's also the fact that you can tell the guards it's too much effort to arrest you and that they'll agree.

For a single petty crime left theft of an apple. And thats ALL the guards, not just the ones in whiterun

gameplay/story segregation

It's a huge oversight to be honest. The devs should've put more weight into what you chose to play as. If yer an argonian you'd be relativley accepted as they've earned their place in Windhelm. But only barely. Dark Elves should be borderline assaulted by the retard mobs in Windhelm and Khajiits should have to bribe or sneak into each city. Ah well, can't have everything.
You have that backwards. Dunmer have rights in windhelm, argonians are the ones that aren't allowed in. They only get to do menial dock tasks. And honestly, what you suggest would be terrible. Khajiit and argonians wouldn't be able to navigate the city because the guards would throw them out.

Here's my fanwank justification: PCs are obviously not staying long, and thus arent going to bring down the property value. They're also going to stand out enough that the city guards will keep an eye on them more than normal citizens. Then once you have made yourself well-liked amongst the city, people don't care you aren't the right race. you're also coming in alone (or plus one) so you can't blend in with others.

I'd definitely choose Whiterun. I like how it's open and colourful, with a great view of the mountains and grasslands. It's got a lot of soul and history for Skyrim. If dragons do attack, they'll likely go for the large giant and mammoth populace rather than the tiny citizens. Not only that, but it's a trading site for Skyrim - plenty of business, and lots of people to meet.

I also love Kynareth out of all the Divines, so it makes sense to be a a city with a temple to her.

Riften, as long as I had the Thieves Guild quest completed and wouldn't have to worry about them messing with me. It's right on the water, seems to have a lot of eligible women living there, lots of merchants, and a few nice bars/restaurants. Also, there's cheap living quarters, if I didn't feel like sleeping down in the cistern. People in that town seem kind of cynical and sarcastic and I kind of dig people like that to an extent. Better than racists and the incredibly religious types. And the only main religious establishment in town is a church of LOVE. I'd hit that place up.

Whiterun or Winterhold,
whiterun because it's a realy fine city with a cool jarl and 2 blacksmits.
Winterhold because it's close to the college and can I keep an close eye on my apprentices. XD

The worst city to my opinion is Markath because of the forsworn and the city is filled with canibals.

You got it backwards mate. The Dunmer are hated. Read "Scourge of the Grey Quarter". Argonians are earning their place in Windhelm by working. The Dunmer are hated because they are lazy, treacherous bigots. Yeah some low-class bottomfeeder bum nords are harassing them and with that they justify hating all nords. They are parasites. The argonians are atleast WORKING even though their conditions could be better. If the nords were such a "hateful" bunch why do they allow a high elf to set up shop? Even said high-elf says that the dunmer are idiots. Wich they are. These are bottomfeeder low-class idiot dunmer refugees that ***** and moan that they arent given a free meal. They were poor before they became refugee's now they feel like they are entitled to free stuff because they are poor and living on other peoples welfare.
Dunmer have houses in the city.
Argonians have bunkspace in an empty warehouse.
A couple Nords pick on the dark elves
They don't pick on argonians because the argonians are kept outside.
The Dunmer all have jobs and one owns his own business
The argonians are barely paid at all
The Dunmer don't hate all nords. You have no in-game evidence for this

Why do i get the feeling you have VERY strong opinions about hurricane katrina?

EDIT: not to mention ALL games game have the beast races at the bottom of the ladder. Argonians especially
FURTHER EDIT: And the Altmer are the most racist group in the series! thats why THEY have nazi's in power right now!

It's like you didn't pay attention to the games at all

I would live on snow-throat mainly because it is a mountain that exists in multiple universes, has a peak that is only half-there, is one of the mythic towers that hold up the world, and probably has some stupidly powermagics somewhere in it that could help me achieve CHIM.

I'm torn between Whiterun and Markarth, though I'd choose Markarth, it's carved into the mountain and I love it!
