I'm suprised noones said it but i'd pick wow without a doubt, its the only game that having more and more content constantly added. Its actually a game you can play for years (Or atleast play for years better than other games). If i couldnt pick a mmorpg then it'd definately have to be a shooter though, BF2142 or unreal tourn perhaps.

For a single player game Morrowind. But tbh if i had to play just one game for the rest of my life i would choose either world of warcraft or the old republic when it comes out if its good. An MMO would provide more replay than even Morrowind. Maybe not as much depth however.

Galactic Civ 2, the free-play games can take weeks to finish and there never the same. Best value for money game ever!

Propably World of Warcraft or Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn. If there's no one else playing then most surely Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn. It's just THAT good.

TESV, whenever Bethesda gets their act together...
And either Fallout 3 or Oblivion with infinite quests and no level cap, if it has to be a game that is already out.

i'd create (or contact a company to create) every game ever on one disc. *loophole found*
You, sir, deserve a cookie for this response... Now my only question is: why the hell didn't I think of that?

...I would choose Team Fortress 2. It hasn't let me down for two years now and it shouldn't do it for the rest of eternity.

I was going to say Fallout3, but then I ran into this last comment. I've been playing TF2 almost continuously for two years. That's special, and it is the best indication for a game having a lasting appeal.

TF2, probably. Or, due to my recent love of it, Killzone 2. I wouldn't choose it over TF2, but I'd enjoy it nonetheless. Maybe by the time someone found a way into my alternate dimension and liberated me from my eternal prison I'd have reached the final rank or whatever.

Even the best games can grate on you after infinity hours. But if I had to choose, I suppose FF7.
