For me, being an absolute MMO addict, I'd have to go with one of potentially three.

Either City of Heroes (repetitive, but the combinations last a while), Lord of the Rings Online (best community I think I've met to date, and the music playing feature is just pure win), and Champions Online, if they don't drop the ball on it.

Champions has both mix-and-match powers for incredible customization, with the powers themselves being able to be customized AGAIN after you take them, and enough costume part creativity to make City of Heroes cry in a corner. So as long as Bill Roper doesn't dig his dirty little hands into it and pull a Hellgate, that'd probably be the winner.

Lord of the Rings Online.

Great atmosphere and epic storyline will make this last a long time (or until Turbine runs out of money). If I don't feel like killing stuff I can just go to an inn grab some ale and a pipe and blow smoke dragons or grab an instrument and play some music. :)

Fallout 3, Oblivion, or NWN

Mostly because of the group of people that make modules for it.

I would personally choose NWN.

For me its either A Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past or Pokemon Silver/Gold/Crystal. They are both so amazing that if I finished one I could quite happily just start again, a testament to how deep these games are.

Halo 3. A highly replayable campaign (that is, if you play with friends), awesome matchmaking (I love sniping), and custom games with an endless amount of funky user made content coming from the best forgers? Yes please.

Starcraft. The online modes people make establishes it as an engine to make more games then just Starcraft.

Wow, it's a tough one, I'd really have to go with what I've already been playing for a year and a half now and that's CoD4. Although just for pure customization and awesome visuals (i happen to hold these things very close) I'd pick EVE online.

Counter-Strike, then I'd mod the hell out of it (or get someone to do it for me, since I lack any significant skills with computers).

Which one, CS, CS zero or CS Source. I ask this question as there is different user made mods and other content for all three. Personally I'd go with CS Source. Ultimate win if your in a clan. Although the CS Source zombie mod, really sucks ass. I'm sorry, it had to be said sooner or later.

If it's only one game for the rest of my life, it'd have to be an MMO of some kind. Those games are ridiculously addicting

Although I play WoW maybe one month each year, I'd go with that because it just never ends, so it's a fine choice if you can still the arduous grinds.

On the other hand I'm pretty cheap, so maybe I'd just stick with Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. I've beaten the game about 30 times and still can't seem to get tired of it, and that's something I've never experienced before.

Hammerfest. I could play hammerfest forever. Though it has a bit of a tough learning curve, it is exceptionally rewarding when you get into it, and if you like platformers, especially old school ones, you'll find this one crafted not just with an exceptional attention to detail but plenty of references to the greats, AND a modern style that makes it stand up as possibly one of the best quality games available. And even better - its free!

OK, you only get to play once a day, but if you want to donate to them (and it's worth it) you can pay to get some games, plus you may earn some in the course of play as well.

You may hate me for giving this to you but I think this may be the best gaming experience you'll have in a long time.
