Magic, a really strong guy with a magic sword, and a bullet-proof(more or less) man who has all the luck of Matrim Cauthoun, pretty much the trifecta right there.

I think this is sort of flawed, there are lots of gaming characters who could stop any sort of "end of the world" scenario if you count stuff like what's in the OP (zombies, meteor etc)
e.g. my team would be

Goku: To stop whatever was gonna kill us.
Dante: Cause he's awesome.
Yuna: Cause I'd marry her.

I think if those characters came together the world would blow up from sheer awesomeness. Kinda defeats the purpose of the thread but I would probably go for the same except Saxton Hale to Louis (L4D) just throw some pills towards the bad guys, problem solved.

Squall Leonhart-Master swordsman, has stocked about 100 of every useful spell known to man, and can summon a vast army of gods, each with unequaled power. Also intelligent and wise.

Raziel-Able to "stop time" in his own personal way by teleporting between the realm of the living and the dead, eats the souls of his enemies, or feeds them back to the Wheel of Fate using his "Soul Reaver" wraith blade. Also good at talking. Really good at talking.

rhyperiore from pokemon (he can create an underground cave which would be unaffected by a metero ...would be hard to find for zombies (in the right place ofcourse ) and protect me from the nukes of war)

If science has the answer then Zakharov is the man. Garcian Smith is a one man army and can deal with any violence that needs to be done. I think that a driver might be needed so Glottis makes the team. He also doubles up as a mechanic.
