If you had wolverine claws...

I was reading one of those marvel universe guides the other day, and the Wolverine section showed a myriad of different claw designs. So I was wondering, If you had wolverine claws, how long would they be? Would you have the little knuckle things that they come out of, or would they just slice through your skin? Would they be the machete tyoe things found in the x-men movies, or the almost rapier thin ones from the cartoon and (I think) the original comics. And finally, would they be angled so that a slice would be performed by a *****-slap type motion, or by a karate chop? The slap is probably most common, if you're having trouble picturing it.




My claws would be about eleven inches, machete shape, ***** slap stles. Colored that kickass blue steel thing.

I'd probably go with the design from the movies, because I've always preferred the "knife" style blades. Also, mine would come out superheated to cauterize the wounds they'd create by cutting through the skin of my knuckles. Otherwise, I'd probably bleed out before I'd get to have any fun.

I think I'd go for the longer rapier-like design. Of course, regardless of what design you have, you'd need his enhanced healing to go with it otherwise, well let's just say it be bad.

Mine would be able to come out over my fingers and out my elbow for a surprise attack! They would be all one blade too.

Really, the design from the films would be my choice, though probably not as thick.
They are long enough to be scary like cheese, as well as handy!
Too long and they'd be unwieldy, too short and they'd be less useful overall.

If not that, then i would have long claws with a serrated inner edge. razor sharp on the exterior side for backhand slash-age.
maybe with a look similar to those katana-esque daggers (the names have drifted out my memory)

They would end in a bottle opener, a corkscrew, a spoon, a comb, a knife and a nail file (one on each side so i could file both hands.)
