Super Mario World. There's no better way to learn the basic mechanics of just about every modern game in existence today. It's also fun. As much as I love Fallout 3, playing that as my first game ever would be a nightmare. Took me like three weeks to get the hang of after 18 years of experience.

If I lost my memory of every game I played, I wouldn't remember which ones were good, now would I? Thus, I guess I'd just pick one randomly from my collection.

If I remembered which games were my favorites, I'd replay Persona 4.

I'd probably play the first games I ever played which would be in order: Double Dragon, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Mario Kart and then the game that got me into gaming Zelda Ocarina of Tme even though I like Majora's Mask more

If I saw my DS first, I would play whatever was in it. If not, then the top game in my pile of PS2 games until I realized that my PS2 doesn't work anymore. Then I would play Zelda TP or Brawl, because they have more manly box art than Mario Kart Wii.

Then mash in like fable and mass effect and pretty much everything bioware has spit out.
