Well I just wondered. If you want to work for escapist, what sort of skills you need and what exactly do you do.If you only make videos and make reviews for money, that would be great.

Hmm,can someone give me a topic or some info about:
1.If escapist hires more reviewers.
2.A topic where I can read more info.
3.If machinima is accepted.

Depends what you want to do. The Escapist isn't only about videos and reviews; the URL for this site is 'www.escapistmagazine.com' for a reason. Long before the reviews and Yahtzee, and long before the forums were about, The Escapist was an online magazine which would hire people to write articles about the electronic culture of today (not just games). If you want to write an article for The Escapist you just need to propose an article for a certain issue. If they accept it you then get to write an article on said topic, have it published and get money for it. Then we have Kuliani, who's job isn't related to videos or articles or reviews at all, but is related to keeping these forums structured and well-moderated. We also have the Tech Team, who's job is to keep this site running, when Kuliani isn't being allowed near the yellow cable that could shut down the entire network [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Inside-The-Escapist]. As well as that, we have the editors, section managers, artists, contributors and our all-mighty overlord, Archon. Then you have to bear in mind that this website is just a small section of the other sites controlled by Themis Media, so there would be even more possibilities there.

However, do bear in mind that being a video contributor/ reviewer, whilst it does get you paid, the pay isn't all that great for the work you need to put into it. Even Yahtzee has admitted that he doesn't get that much and as well as having one of the most popular video series on the Internet, a weekly column on this site, a column in PC Gamer Magazine and his own blog, he doesn't get that much money, especially in comparison with all the work that you need to put into it in order to keep the job going.

If you want to look into it, though, best idea talking to Susan Arendt first of all about it. She's one of the main editors for Themis Media (The company that own and run The escapist), so any contributions to the site have to go through her, amoung other people as well.

EDIT: She also wrote the artcle in the post below mine.

Improve spelling for one.

OT, I don't know. I've always wondered what it would take to be a moderator on here.

Seems interesting to me and I kinda want to do it.

Step 2: B naturallly entertainiing. This may b difficult.

First off, spell "Work" Correctly.

Secondly, get a talent, practice it, then exploit it ???? Profit.

Hehe that was a bit of a low blow there HRS. I'll admit i sniggered though.

OT: Check out the editorials, from what i've gathered that'd be a good starting point. The spelling is important though.

Be good at making entertaining videos or articles. If it doesn't come naturally to you, don't bother.
Oh I don't know; just look a Puff Daddy (Or P Diddly or whatever he calls himself)-can't sing, can't dance, can't write or rap, can't produce, ugly as sin. He didn't let that get in the way of a successful music career though, did he?

I would LOVE to rock for the Escapist. I play a mean set of drums, yo. What? He didn't mean 'rock'? Dammit...
