You have to escort an NPC through Metal Slug 3.
Yes, that's right, an escort mission.
If the NPC dies, you lose.
If you die, you lose.
You only have one life.
The NPC constantly gets in your line of fire when in combat and keeps lagging behind when not in combat.
The enemies constantly respawn so you have to stay close to the NPC.
When you lose you have to start over.
If you manage to win, there will be cake you will be free.
So there is a motivation for trying to win.
