If you were a cartoonist, what would be your idea for a show?

If you were in the American animation industry, what kind of cartoon would you come up with? My idea would roughly involve a group of kids (arround 14 years old) who live in a video game inspired world, who rescue anyone in need through rediculous and absurd adventures, and come up with needlessly convoluted schemes & plans in espionage fashion. It would be like Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers, meets Teen Titans, meets KND, meets Adventure Time.

Mine would be My Little Tyrant. It would star Genghis Khan, Attila the Hun and Erik Bloodaxe. It would teach children the importance of crushing your enemies and the advantages of ruling by fear and terror.

"My Father The Carrot". It would be a 3-camera sitcom about a giant carrot that runs a hotel and is raising a bunch of rascally kids as a single father. Would also feature a lot of pitch-black humor played like typical shitty sitcom humor. Carrot would never audibly speak, and has no anthropomorphic features; you only know what it is saying by how other characters react to it. The fact that it is a carrot is never brought up or explained. That is my favorite idea. :p

Obviously I would do a collaboration of children's TV, KSP, and Half Life. We'll teach the children the fun facts about space, rocket engineering, and defeating aliens that come into our world from Xen.

"Garfugi-jugi the Talking Lugy" a campy little story about a spit wad that becomes sentient after being exposed to toxic waste. Then tries to live among the human race as a high school student, so he can win the big Talent show and become popular. for shizzle de nizzle my brutha de hizzle.

Seriously though, I'd probably Write a story about Hamsters or something.

Oh boy, if ever there was a thread for me...

Lo and Behold - A young girl finds out the wall-enclosed town she lives in is actually a giant bathtub on legs. She falls out and ends up in a realm of giant, deformed wizards.

[no title] - Boy gets an early morning paper route and finds out monsters, demons, and other supernatural events linger in the shadows of the late night/early dawn. But it's money in his pocket.

The Lighthouse Keeper - Howard is a weather master who spent half his life alone on a tiny rocky island, manning a lighthouse and doing his best in keeping the seas calm for all shipping traffic. His lighthouse however goes out of commission, and he's now forced to get back into the world.

"Cat and Mouse"

Basically it's Tom and Jerry, except every episode the cat eviscerates and consumes the mouse in gruesome detail because the mouse is an evil bastard. Don't tell me he doesn't deserve it. When I was a kid that was all I wanted to happen. Animate it like an old russian cartoon with russian voiceover, it'd be awesome.

I'd want to do DC's 'The Question' and give it a 21st Century feel. but with a different conspiracy theory each week, with an underlying story each series. Vic Sage would still be a journalist, and it would still end badly for him after about a 4/5 series run of about 7-10 episodes in each series.

So a blue collar worker is (reluctant) best buds with a mafia up-and-comer, who's illegal activities constantly collide with Average Joe's attempts to have a normal life with his wife and kids. It'll be comedic and dramatic and poignant at times. Real solid natural character driven show.

And everyone is cartoon animal people. Blue collar and his family is lions, mafia guy is a weasel, and some people will be llamas cuz llamas are awesome.

Adventures of Trevor - A 90's style Saturday morning cartoon about the wacky misadventures of everyone's favorite psychotic Canadian bank-robber/serial-killer, Trevor Phillips.

Join our hero as he journeys around the crazy world of San Andreas getting up to all kinds of shenanigans involving crystal meth, urban massacres and the true meaning of friendship.

Also, there would be lots and lots of homoerotic subtext between Trevor and Michael. Like seriously. Lots.

So Itchy and Scratchy except not Russian. If you did want the Russian you have Worker and Parasite.

OT: A normal human finds the only residence he can afford is in Toontown from 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?', and attempts to make a living among the Homestar Runner-level surreality there. At least one of his new friends will be a toon drawn as a villain in a show cancelled a long time ago, who is friendly and helpful now but must do everything in a sinister, villainous-seeming way because that's the way he was drawn. The question is raised if a toon can break away from the purpose they were drawn for.

Heh. I actually had this idea for a while, but never really worked on it. Might as well add it here.

Pizza Boy Chronicles

A young delivery boy tries to apply to college, but can't afford tuition. He does whatever he can to gain some extra cash by helping the failing pizza shop he works at, with the help of his best friend and high school dropout roommate. It is up to him to help his shop gain some notable reputation by providing excellent service to the people he delivers to, while dealing with crazy obstacles that get in his way. Add some Adult Swim level humor and you're set!
