I would say, disband the party, but that couldn't be done due to (supposedly) being constantly at war with either Eurasia or Eastasia, and then they would simply absorb what was Oceania. So, what could be done? The whole world was too deeply ingrained in the one party system, so it would have to stay that way, at least until one of the other nations conceded, but then, would the other two?

Also, it's probable that Big Brother doesn't even exist, and is just a symbolic representation of the party.

Either you're understanding of the book is very weak or your creating an absurd scenario, my guess is the latter. In any case I would you know abolish the government and give the people all the resources they deserved. Assuming that I was bound to keeping the current and still being a giant ass-hole in the sky I suppose I would travel elsewhere and see what's going on in the other continents.

I read the book a LONG time ago...I just recently picked it back up again.
