I was born into the icy north of Yahoo moving southeast toward their games later into the island of Runescape, a little while later I stole a boat which did not seem to bother the inhabitants and sailed west and circled the Gulf of Youtube until I found the underwater base that is the Escapist making short vacation trips with my waterproof stolen ship into the Wikipedia projects to see the horrible life that the islanders live and indulge in the poor conditions.
I was born in the northern Ocean of Subculture, and now float around on an airship (I like airships, okay?) observing others, mostly on forums and such, as well as DeviantArt and Youtube.

I started out somewhere around the World of Warcraft country, because my initial primary use of the Internet was for talking about videogames, especially The Legend of Zelda and Blizzard-related stuff. A few years ago I spent some time around the Bay of Angst, with LiveJorunal et al., but now have since moved somewhere closer to the IRC Isles.
I dunno man, this chart doesn't really make much sense. Randall's been losing it for years, but when I first saw this months ago I thought it was pretty clever. Only now do I realise that it's actually incredibly difficult to map yourself on this thing unless you fall into some incredible stereotype and restrict your Internet habits to one particular community.
Also, no way in hell is IRC that popular. It's a totally niche thing used by the most helpless and socially-awkward of nerds. You'd might as well kiss any hope of a social or romantic life goodbye the moment you log onto a network. Most people don't even have any idea what IRC is, but any old social networking site is now in the common vernacular.

I grew up on b.net with starcraft and diablo. I never spent more than 5 minutes on an actual internet browser until I was 12.

I never said where I came from on that map. I started on the small bit of land known as Runescape, then went to the bigger section of WoW, and now I float along the seas.
The Country of Facebook has expanded my friend. Plus, it's in a all out war with the Myspace kingdom.
Born in the IRC isles, now living on Wikipedia and commuting to work on SourceForge each day by ferry, or sometimes Stallman gives me a ride in his airship. Occasionally I holiday in the Blogipelago. Had a holiday to the MySpace mainland this one time; I didn't like it.
