England (technically)

i change the principle of law to protection rather then deterrent and reinstate the death penalty. i also raise the magnitude of punishments in general, and instate a law forcing other laws to be clearer.

then i retrial everyone in prison because of the laws that were altered by this.

i then introduce the breeder's license (i know it was mentioned already, i just really like the idea).

I go with curfews, conscription, no freedom of speech or press, martial law, me as dictator, secret police, create the jedi order and replace the secret police with my own army of jedi, build a jedi temple, establish colonies on the moon, build a robot army, create handheld laser guns and genetically engineered super soldiers and then have a big party to celebrate my ascension to king (did i metnion i would call myself king). Then take over the world and declare myself emperor of the universe

United States.

I'd pass a law that said that no governmental body may spend more money than it is taking in.

I do the same, but for Canada. And I'd also make it illegal for Canadians to be patriotic. It's just not becoming of us...

All before lunch too? That's quite the feat.

Wouldn't that cause loads of issues? If more immigrants come in then the more difference in faith there would be.

Although I personally feel that Religion and Schools should be separated (except classes teaching about the different religions so people can make up their own damn minds).

I understand what you mean, like I said, I'd prefer separation of Religion and School myself, so everyone gets a choice,

If I were elected leader of my country, I'd immediately pass a law stating that I am not allowed to be leader of the country ever again and then retire.

Seriously, I don't need that kind of pressure/commitment/actual work.

That's crazy talk, just hire someone to do the tedious stuff and relax and enjoy making up all the insane rules you like.

Price caps are adorable, but the people who support them tend to be very short-sighted.

Those teams are taking team earnings and distributing them as they see fit-- if beckham is the one filling the stadium every game, and the seats cost as much as they do, you are damn right he deserves every penny he gets.

Price caps, price controls, and any sort of central economic planning is not a new idea, and it tends to result in the failure of whatever country implements them. Central economic planning in china and russia led to widespread famine and ecological disasters, and in america it prolonged the depression by 5 years while exacerbating the problems of hunger.

If I was president I would do away with most economic regulations while greatly stiffening the penalties for fraud.
