god there is nothing so "realistic" smothering as Clipping on something that clearly shouldnt be going through!

You wouldn't want me to be in that kind of position of power. I would just fuck around all day for shits and giggles. I'd probably make every game a JRPG suited to my taste, and fuck everyone else, because I am big shit, and I have embezzled roughly half the funds of the entire business, so I am set for life.

If it's on the disc, it must be available to customers for use. It's fine if they have to complete certain tasks in-game to get it, but if it's on the disc, the ability to access and play it must be available on day 1.

No Day 1 DLC, paid or otherwise.

No more Online Passes or similar barriers to play.

Developers can patch their game whenever they want. It is the developer's responsibility to ensure that their patches are stable.

All game consoles MUST be backwards compatible with all games from the prior generation of console. For instance, I must be able to pop in my copy of Halo 3 on the new Xbox and have it play with no issues.

If the customer is paying a fee to use your online service, the customer must have the option to turn off all advertising. For instance, if I am paying sixty dollars a year for Xbox Live Gold, I must have the ability to disable the ads.

All sports games must retail for 39.99 at release.

Infinity Ward, Treyarch, you both must make at least one Call of Duty game where America is the bad guy and you play as a foreigner. And by America, I mean the country, not an American. You will have double your usual amount of Call of Duty development time. By extension, if a developer is seen to have a tendency to make shooters in which Americans use advanced technology to stomp the shit out of a country that's still in the 80s technologically, they must make a game where America is the bad guy.

I would do away with this silly pretence of games as art and instead focus on what first drew me into the hobby -- gaming. We already have plenty of ways for pretentious entertainers to peddle morality lessons and wax poetically, but very few ways of actually taking out our aggressions in non-destructive ways, or competing recreationally in the few minutes before dinner's ready in the dead of winter, or feeling all of the visceral joys of victory or the bitter pangs of defeat without having to move more than your thumbs(or risk life and limb and hefty jail sentences!). You know, video games.

Aaand I'd make the Dark Souls of third-person shooters. I want something really sadistic and engaging, but not so far removed from reality.

-Death to exclusive games. If you want to play Mario on a Sony console, or Metal Gear Solid on Xbox, GO FOR IT!

-I would connect every game with multiplayer to multi-platform to every console. For the first time ever, fun Console Wars.

-Any corporate decision EA makes I would put on the internet and ask every one to point and laugh at them. Sure they won't last long from the negative backlash, but who cares its all in good fun.

-Bring back "You unlocked..." to every game. In other words DLC can go back to the Bermuda Triangle from whence it came.

-Devs must think about new ideas and IPs to sell instead of playing it safe. If not their collars will go off...

-Every video game has to have a jetpack. Jetpack=Quality product.

Monster Hunter will be made available for all platforms, sequels will be required to cater to all platforms the original was released on or their logical successors, there will be no on-disc DLC, there will be no DRM, or anything else that unnecessarily wastes consumers' time before playing the game, games will have to work offline when in singleplayer, and disconnection to the internet shall not disrupt a singleplayer game except where elements of multiplayer are incorporated, games will have a mandatory playtesting and debugging period and developers will be compensated somewhat for this, games in Australia will cost the same as games in Europe, all developers and publishers will be forced to give frank replies to any questions posed by players, the consumer will own everything on the disc that they buy, and will be able to resell it afterwards at no extra loss of value beyond physical wear and tear and expected second-hand pricing, only free-to-play games will be allowed to incorporate microtransactions, games must have a maxiumum of two editions on launch, and these will be standard across all retailers, all games with customisable main characters must have multiple voice options and be able to choose between both genders, Bioware will be forced to make Mass Effect 3 again, but with oversight from fans of my choosing, FROMSoftware will be forced to accept input from myself in all future Armored Core games, which will receive support in the US and EU regions of equal value to that received in Japan, and games must be approved by me personally before they can be sold anywhere, which will cost nothing to the developer (just put that in in case I missed something), and embargos on reviews of games that have been received early shall be lifted 2 weeks before the release of said game, and lastly a maximum reasonable Breast Bounciness Coefficient will be established and applied to all future games.

I never said it was going to be fair.
