OT: Yea, Mass Effect was the one I was thinking of when I saw the thread title, but seeing as how everyone and their grandma is either picking Mass Effect or Pokemon, I'm gonna try and be unique and say Borderlands. Sure, the world itself kinda sucks, but you get all the guns you can possibly want, plenty of things to shoot, and whenever you die you just pop back up at a New-U Station. I see no drawbacks...other than it being a hellscape, but I can live with that.
A Japanese dating Sim. I mean honestly, the vast majority of these worlds would, in reality, lead to a rapidly approaching, painful and messy death. Most video games have lots of violence, or surreal occurrences that would functionally become violence if you were actually there (What would happen if your house was REALLy rolled up into a giant ball...). In a dating sim, the bigger loser you act, and the more video games you play, and the less effort you put into bettering yourself, the more likely you are to have sex with a bunch of girls, your biggest problem will be choosing which ridiculously hot girl you want to be with, and the entire world will be fun and entertaining.

I never saw the movie or played the game but i very much enjoyed the cartoon and cause it has a game that qualifies the entire universe.
Final Fantasy VIII or Persona. They seem like the best places to live. VIII's world is pretty nice as long as you don't get caught up in the fighting and Persona's is pretty much like our world, except for people summoning persona's and so on but overall, I'd be able to get used to living there a lot easier.

Bioshock: this would be cool, but at the same time, it's kind of present day with some crazy shit underwater, would be cool to live in Rapture though.
World of Warcraft: I'd probably get ganked all the time :/
Minecraft: awesome, but I think I might die a bit too much, and after a while my fist would hurt from breaking trees.
L4D: nooooo.... I will be the first to die with zombies THAT aggressive.

IF i had to not pick pokemon then i'd say eldar scrolls, like it seems that most people can grasp magic and i'm already pretty good wiyh a bow....
Other than that if i was to get like training and equipment to become equal to the main character of a game I'd say the metroid universe... like them worlds are beutiful, but kinda dangerous.

I haven't played Pokemon in years, but I would love to live in that world. Raising my Pokemon and becoming an unstoppable force would be a gratifying and worthwhile experience. I think I would actually care about my Pokemon then, rather than just using whatever I think is most powerful.
