I have no tattoos, and I liked them better when they were a sign that one had been in the military, grown up in a trailer park, or been in prison (or all three). They made useful social status markers back then. This modern trend toward everyone and their sister getting inked is not something I'm on board with, because I'm old enough to still associate tats with lower-class people. (and because on a visceral level I just plain don't like the sight of them.)
That said, in the spirit of this thread, if I were to get tattooed, it would be on my left forearm, of an eagle, with the inscription "LEGIO V" above and "SPQR" below. (why "Legio V"? Because 5 is my lucky number and I'm superstitious like that.
And in the same vein, on my other forearm, a winged foot, with "MERCURIUS" (Latin for the god Mercury) above and "DEUS MAGNUS" ("great god") below.
