...what genre would it be and how would you change it?
i would probably reinvent RTS by making a game where you control the selected hero and his unit with the W-A-S-D keys and shoot/use ability depending on the hero and kind of minion that hero has selected(so having a certain minion in your troop is like having a certain weapon in your arsenal in a shooter) by pointing the mouse in that direction and clicking(select a minion type with the mouse wheel. you have a walking bar and an ammo bar that slowly fills up overtime while you use your other heroes. when a hero is not selected he will sort of turn into a defense tower if no other task is given. so its sort of like a mix between Heroes 3 of might and magic, Threadspace: Hyperbol (witch none of you have played but all of you should at least check out the demo at steam),DotA and the 3D worms games. The artstyle should be stylized almost like cell-shaded doodles. throw in some interesting and fun objectives and some multiplayer and there is a game i would really wanna play.(nevertheless an RTS which i usually don't find that much fun)
now i would also really like to reinvent the MMORPG but i think that would be a bit to much of a challenge and none of you would probably have any fun reading about it.
