I would say japan becaus I, too, love the culture AND I would be a local, being a long term tourist would make me feel out of place sometime.

I would like to live in a strict country (in terms of parents and discipline, not everyone living in fear) I think It would help me alot when it comes to working, and appreciate the stuff I have. It would also stop all the bullshit over here in england, stuff like teengae society and the whole 'modern' dating an stuff.

Isle of Man.

Beautiful country, isolated, good lifestyles and lots of thing to do.

Alaska, still the US but has that little bit of Asian culture. Would have to be Anchorage though, anything past Eagle River would be too remote.

California, I think. Sure, there are loads of problems with it, but I want somewhere that A)Speaks English B)Is sunny, but not so much that I'll get cancer C) Can claim to having so many bands I like coming from there.

Oh, and good surfing too.

Norway/Denmark

OR

England

OR

Canada

I can't decide... but I'm probably leaning towards Norway/Denmark.

Finland / Switzerland, I don't know how good the French in Switzerland is, but their Germanish sounds horrible, so I'd want to be in the French area.

In order:

1) Wakefield, Massachusetts. It's where I grew up, it's where I truly call home, and it's where I intend to raise my kids someday---a third generation of my family graduating from Wakefield High.

2) Seattle. Current girlfriend's hometown---nice weather (I hate the heat and don't mind rain), awesome culture, great coffee, great music...yeah.

3) New York City. My accounting and finance education can make me a lot of money in not a lot of time in New York, and the scene's great for an aspiring writer (my true passion).

4) Philadelphia. My brother lives in the suburbs of Philly with his wife and young son, and my mom and stepfather live about two hours' drive away in southern Delaware. I'm not on the best of terms with my mom, but family counts for a lot. Plus my friend Rob lives in Philly and likes a lot of the same stuff I do, so I'd always have a friend around to go to sports events and out for cheesesteaks.

5) San Francisco. A few of my Wakefield High classmates (including a woman whom I've known for almost thirty years and who I love like a sister) have settled in the city and they keep bugging me to move down there since I'm only four hours up the road in Reno.

Also receiving votes: Chicago, Rostock, Vilnius, Portland (Oregon), and Vienna.

I would choose the mountains of canada. Log cabin. Heaven. I like the solitude. I've always wanted to visit there.

A nice small town in British Columbia. Which, incidentally, is where I plan on moving to after I finish my schooling.

Vancouver for sure.

Actually kind of thinking about moving there in the future. My friend from highschool did it and now has an apartment 15 minutes from downtown with his girlfriend. I'm visiting him in December so I'll see how I like it.
