Grandfather Nurgle. While I will become a rotting pile of sludge in doing so, I will be a happy rotting pile of sludge, that can kill you in a millisecond by infecting you with the worst diseases in the universe.

Edit:[Jokingly] Behold! The power of Atom! He is coming from the clouds!

Okami Amaterasu from Okami. Come on, it's a wolf that can wield swords (or glaives if you prefer), rosaries and reflectors with about 14 different powers (including her own sun powers). She's officially awesome.

I was hoping I could beat the trolls who say a currently recognized religion.
Fact isn't trolling,
Claiming things based on no evidence other than "I want it that way" is.
Ohhh... Shit... WE ALL WORSHIP TROLLS!

Still, everyone knew this wasn't a serious religion thread. If you bring up actual religious beliefs in a thread like this you are trolling no matter how much the thread may or may not have been asking for it. If you wanna have a serious discussion on the absence of Gods take it to the religion and politics threads.

Hey, i've got an idea! Let's not turn some light hearted fun into srs angsty wank wank wank wank.
I don't think the latter is using the proper definition of angsty in your sentence, but regardless, it was light-hearted fun...

The person in question insulted ME directly, calling me a troll for simply stating MY opinion on the subject.
Saying "I was hoping I could beat the trolls who say a currently recognized religion." Is trolling. Such a comment is clearly attempting to elicit a aggravated emotional response from the person it is directed at (me, since no one else had), which is the definition of trolling.

My entirely non-serious response was just responding to ace's trolling in a joking manner, it was not directed at the general populace, as that is a horrible argument against religion.

There are people who actually believe in every single answer this thread has, just because it isn't as widely believed doesn't mean someone doesn't believe it.

For example, this person, I don't see anyone flaming him/her just because Amaterasu is a real god.

Ahh gods are fictional. And anyone who says otherwise you'd better be able to prove it. To which you can't, but moving on....

I'd worship the Norse gods. Though knowing that Ragnarök will end all life on earth and kill most of the gods. I will die before the sword of Surtr, who burns Midgard to ash. And to return from the realm of Hel once Midgard has risen from the watery depths fertile again.

A trio of gods made of Sheogorath, Tyler Durden (He is a god no matter what you say) and The Composer from TWEWY. All good choices I believe.

Edit: Also maybe Frank. He CAN time-travel and look awesome in a bunny suit. (He is also a god no matter what you say)

I would definitely bow to Madokami, Haruhi Suzumiya, and/or Yuki Nagato. Also Sasami/Tsunami, Washu, and Tokimi.

And quite possibly Rika Furude.

Ok guys enough with the organized religion bashing. I'm an atheist and I'm not insulting them and I made the thread. Have some respect for the people with different beliefs.
You raised my faith in humanity by 10 points.

Though if I had to worship a fictional god it would be Akatosh.

A tie for myself: Eru or Sheogorath.

Eru had his underlings sing to create his universe, and Sheogorath is The Mad God, and he lets the world run it's natural course, in complete chaos.

People are listing ancient Greek and ancient Egyptian gods as fictional, so I'm gonna go ahead and put my name in the hat for the Catholic God. Fair and balanced.

Just a question I thought of that might be interesting. If you were to worship a fictional God which would you worship. And no saying "I would worship God cause he's fictional" or anything like that. Let's not start a flame war.
Personally I would go with the Marvel comics version of Thor. He's awesome and goes around hitting people in the face with a lightning hammer. I've always wondered if he had worshipers in the Marvel universe since he was a God and told everyone that.
*Edit* I suppose I should be more specific. By Fictional God I mean a God that was created in a work of fiction and was never worshiped seriously. You can however get away with worshiping a fictional version of a pre-existing god like how I choose the Marvel comics version of Thor.
Jesus......see what I did there.....?

I think I'd worship my ancestors, the Romans did it, so why not. The would have more of a vested interest in me anyhow, right?
