I'm not in a band, but if I was I'd like it to be called Northern Downpour, for two reasons. One, I'm a huge fan of Panic at the Disco, and that's the name of both their fanclub (I'm not part of it, by the way) and a song from their latest album, Pretty Odd. Two, I may be from the Midlands but I'm currently living in the North of England and so that name would be a bit of a tribute to my adopted city and new home :)

Northern Downpour FTW! :D

Wel I'd probably go for something a bit weird in order to get attention. Mabye "The Fat Pandas" or "The Drunken Dragons".

If I were in a band right now I'd call is something like "Infected Liver Puss" or "Necrophiliac Baby Murderer" then play smooth jazz and blues just to mess with name-genre associations.

Isn't that a song by neutral milk hotel?

I'd call my band "The McGuffins" (even though I don't actually know what it means). Although if I ever from a band (after crossing the hurdles of acttully leanig to play an instruement and finding other musicians) I'd forget this brainwave and name the band somthing else that I made up off the top of my head. And it would be even stupider than The McGuffins.

Heh, naming bands is easy: close your eyes, flip open the dictionary and point to words. Just write down the word or piece together the first few words in some manner, and you are all set. You can't go wrong!

Here are some examples, with the same formula:

Giggly Seascape
Illusory Elevator Clue
Rimbender
The Ungentle Soul
Desert Zoom

On the other hand, it's quite unlikely I'll be in a band anytime soon. It's just not me.
