See, that's what they really feel. That they aren't the poke's from their childhood. They could make the best pokemon possible and people would still reject them because they aren't Gen 1 or 2.

I can still recite the first season's lyrics by heart...
and the poke-rap...
and the first 150 in order...
I was a lonely kid...

@FARD:

Here's the evolution tree of one particular new pokemon:

Gear (looks like a pair of cogs)
Gigear (Looks like a set of more cogs)
Gigigear (Take a guess...)

How is that not ridiculous?

I seem to remember there was also an ice-cream pokemon somewhere in there too.

Mmmm. Ice cream Pokemon. It'll be hard to say people don't kill Pokemon to harvest their sugary goodness.

@FARD: But... gear?

Then sticking a simple single syllable on the front? Twice?

@Thar:
But as I said, they shouldn't need to be realistic. The whole princible is that they get shoved in balls all the time and survive. Any argument of realism is flawed greatly.

@FARD: I'm not complaining about realism! I'm complaining about them have really bad names!

I feel like slapping a Japanese person...

@Fard: Tharwen has it right. It isn't really about how "realistic" it is, its that they are being terribly lazy in the new designs, and the new names.

That, and stuff in the second and first generation made sense to me.
A lizard, a alligator, a rat. OK. This is all good.

Now we got things that I'm not even sure what they could possibly mimic. What the hell are some of these? A what and a what? Sentient parts now?

@Stranger: They mostly look like humanoids with bits stuck on them now too. Almost every pokemon seems to have two arms and two legs, which simply isn't how it should be.

I think the reason could be that they're having trouble making things like metapods look good in 3D.

@Scde2: You have no opinion! Get out!

@Thar: A Metapod looks fantastic in and -D! it's just that they are afraid of him. /sillyness

When they truly run out of ideas we'll know.

@Tharwen: You are mostly correct...most of this stuff looks pretty human now...which makes me wonder...how long till they are?

But I can understand metapods and the like being hard to do in 3-D, cause some pokemon looked awesome not having that!

@Doc: We will? Will there be a memo and everything?
