@Max: Sounds about right. Yeah, airports have gotten worse as far as schedules and regulations are. And the people they usually employ are not any better. At least you found some people able to get you placed in another flight. Good luck trying to get that today, as most people are just despicable now.

@Unusual: Oh I can just list everything that went wrong on that trip. It actually got to a point where it was actually funny because it kept getting worse and worse and it just seems like something you'd expect from a comedy movie.

@Max: Hehe...That bad huh? Things would just go terrible, and you'd go "Well, it can't get worse!" Then the roof collapses.

@Unusual: In a sense yes. I'll tell you some of the highlights: Plane Trip from San Diego to Michigan, Hotel in D.C, Subway systems in D.C, and The Mall in D.C.

@Unusual: It was for a competition. It was called Japan Bowl 2010. It's an national competition where schools from all over the country compete in 3 different levels of competition: Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4. The competition focuses on a variety of topics: Culture, History, Sports, Music, Traditions, Religions, Politics, Geography, Current Events, and U.S-Japanese current ties.

@Max: Very awesome. Though, I find it kinda odd to call it Japan Bowl....However, I have never heard of this before. How did it go? Was it an excellent competition/vacation?

@Unusual: It's been going for a while now. The Competition is in Maryland at Chevy Chase every April because it is the time of the Sakura Matsuri. As for the competition, we didn't do so well. I was one of the only ones who studied like crazy for a year so I knew the most, but I still wasn't as good at speaking it and was nervous. Our level was Level 2 and we got 14th out of 24th, and the trip was terrible.

@Max: Well, that isn't too bad really. You can always do worse. Well, I have never heard of it, but at least you tried to do something about it. I can safely say I have never done anything of the sort. Just not competitive and driven like that.

@Unusual: That was actually my first every competition like that and the first trip I've ever been on that my parents didn't come with.

@Max: Very nice. Well, did you have a good time at the mall and all that? I have never been to DC myself, and I hear those are popular locations to go to.

@Unusual: No, The Mall was a terrible time as well. The competition was the only part of the trip that didn't go as bad as everything else.

@Unusual: The Mall is the name for the area of Washington D.C that contains the Smithsonian Museums, White House, Congress Building, Memorials, etc.

@Max: So, yeah, I was correct. A history group of stuff. Well, they are tourist traps.....so, yeah. I can understand how much they suck.

@Unusual: Actually no, I like all the stuff there and what not. It's just that we weren't able to do much of anything because of complications.
