Kobolds can drive tanks if you train them. Goblins too. They're easy to come by...

Okay, I'll give you this hand-written tome. It splices together some of the Necrocomicon and the Book of the Dead. Use this mana crystal (ruby) to teleport (scroll included) to these coordinates in Germany. Now use one of the diamonds to cast the spell IN THE ORDER THEY ARE LISTED to raise the dead and bind the ashes of the dead into human form. They will be subservient as long as no other magical entity interferes. It gets more complicated then...
As for size, think everyone that's died in Germany for the last 400 years.
