there are good times to accept defeat, but you must know when, and the terms of surrender should be good for both sides not one, tht would lead to another war

@Stranger: How would not admitting defeat lead to remnants. If you admit defeat, the die-hards will continue to their last breath, while others will confuse a lost battle with a lost war and give up completely, instead of biding their time.

@Scde2: Did you see what MC said? If you stand up and tell your people that you screwed up and lost, a majority of them won't keep throwing themselves at a battle they cannot win. Of course there will be die hards...but people will not follow them if they know they would have no chance.

And once again, it sounds like admitting defeat means you lose everything. That is rarely, if ever, the case.

@Mc: Don't make fun of the Elite.

if you tell your people to accept defeat most will because no one likes war, only fanatics will continue to fight, the right thing to do in many situations is to surrender or leave

vietnam could be argued as one of these cases

CUT IT OUT!

Hehe. Love that series.

@Shock: Getting there. Got a couple more things to shift there. As well as controlling the volcanic eruptions. Very close now though.

@Stranger: You can't fight a war if your followers have the mindset that there is no chance of winning. If you admit defeat, that will happen. There is always the option of reorganizing your forces into cells that lie dormant...Until the time comes when they are needed. And who makes the call when you are defeated?

@Mc: This is a case where people don't truly lose, until they admit defeat.

@Scde2: You act as if morale is something that cannot be repaired as well. I am speaking of admitting defeat when it is obvious, and accepting that you cannot always be victorious. The call should be made by those who have the information, and are in charge. Thats who.

People can be reinvigorated, but not rebuilt. Admitting defeat can be a great sign of knowledge, and a sign of humility. It is a worthwhile thing to consider under proper circumstances.

.....Actually, I'm with Mc on this. I'm done with this. I got too much reading to do to do this at the moment. Maybe later.
