Go ahead. Properly made Katanas can slice and deflect bullets.

That isn't anime. Folded steel is one of the strongest things used to make weapons, which is how a Katana is made.

@Tharwen: There is, of course, but even then there are legends that some blades were folded so many times they were considered to be unbreakable and unbendable. However, they are legends, making them incredibly difficult to confirm.
