@Max: It was to a mosque, but the speaker we got was quite......bad. Not sure how else to put it. He did a very bad job of showing off his faith and all that. So, I'm hoping this one is much better at showing off the culture or something.

@Max: It is actually a class I have to take. Cultural Diversity. The class itself is quite terrible, but I can appreciate the field trips.

@Unusual: You have to take it? My school requires us to take another language for two years and pass it.

@Max: I would actually like to know another language....but thats just me. You got stuck behind that curb then, which is unfortunate.

@Unusual: Oh no it's a lot more than that. My school doesn't have a Cultural Diversity class, we have clubs for that. But we have many language programs: Chinese, Japanese, Latin, French, Spanish, Italian, German, and we used to have Sign Language but budget cuts nicked that class. We also have other requirements to graduate.

@Max: I am very aware of the many extra requirements in place now. I was very happy to avoid them, actually. Though, I would have liked at least the chance to do a language class.

I was forced to take Spanish for two years in high school. Now I don't remember any of it. So what was the point?

@Unusual: It's never too late to learn. Just beware which language you take.
@Scde2: Pretty much unless you practice it when you finish High School you won't remember it, but some languages are evil and you want to forget them.

Spanish was my only real choice, the other was French.

Talking about languages that I couldn't give two shits to learn.

@Scde2: That sucks. Sounds like my Middle School, only now I found out that they have Chinese now and are getting new classes while my High School is cutting teachers, classes, and counselors like crazy.
