Hmm...
I can imitate several different accents pretty well, including a British one, and a French one.
My "native" one is Californian. Though... I don't tend to speak in it very often. I keep slipping into my British accent so easily.

Umm... might want to get another opinion from someone else... kinda seems like your friend and their teacher might be a bit biased.

I have a decent Irish/Scottish/England English(I get yelled at constantly whenever I say British so taking it out of my vocabulary cause I'm tired of debating the topic) accent. And it isnae imitation. Just accents I pick up from talking to people. Admittedly most of the people I talk to as of late have one of those 3 and if you're talking the England one, I have a bunch of the different area accents.
